When Women Return to Rhythm is actually an ongoing series of retreats designed to help high-functioning, perfectionist moms (women who nurture others) reclaim their vitality, purpose, and joy by reconnecting with the natural cycles of their body, mind, and spirit through a powerful blend of somatic practices, nervous system regulation, and sacred feminine wisdom.
More than just a step out of the hustle into a deeply restorative 4 day reset, this experience provides the opportunity to receive continued seasonal guidance regular retreats and 3 months post retreat support, so the change becomes integrated and doesn't end when you leave.

Bodhi Khaya is a tranquil sanctuary for retreat and renewal, nestled in the biodiverse landscape of the Walker Bay Conservancy in South Africa's beautiful Overberg region. Set across hundreds of hectares of indigenous fynbos, milkwood forests and mountain trails, it offers a deeply peaceful environment where you can rest, reconnect and be truly present.
Guests are invited to slow down and immerse themselves in nature and the serene surroundings naturally support introspection, restoration, and a sense of homecoming—making it an ideal setting for retreats focused on inner renewal.

The rhythm of each day will offer both depth and spaciousness — a balance of teaching, shared inquiry, and somatic grounding through movement and nervous system regulation. I am Kerry Magnus and I can't wait to be your co-facilitator, supporter, and to hold space for you on this retreat.
I am a Holistic Psychologist and BodyTalk practitioner and I support women to embrace their greatest potential without burning out, using a unique body, mind and spirit approach that I created through my own journey of transformation.
I also make use of my training in various trauma modalities as well as somatic focussing and mindfulness.
After years of on/off burnout I was diagnosed with Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome in 2013. I was too tired and overwhelmed to support myself in a holistic way so I looked for relief using supplements, detoxes and diets. These helped somewhat but I continued to experience crashes for 5 years. I was so frustrated as I had such a sense of what I could become and be but I felt overwhelmingly stuck.
I felt like a failure. As mother, wife, therapist, friend and daughter. After five years of trying everything, I had a revelation: my burnout, overwhelm, fatigue, and increasingly small life weren't about working harder or doing more. They were tied to the multiple ways I had adapted myself to feel safe and enough, and how those survival patterns were dysregulating my nervous system, destroying my health, and keeping me from my potential.
This was the turning point for me and from there I began to step back into true balance, power and health.
Because of my experience I realised I wanted to support women to be the powerful, creative, passionate, shining, beautiful beings they truly are rather than them trying, and often failing, to fit the mould of distorted masculine "success".
And that is what I have been doing ever since with increasing joy, ease and flow....!

Q: How far is the retreat venue from the nearest airport?
The nearest airport is Cape Town International Airport which is a 2h20min drive to Bodhi Khaya. We've carefully chosen a location that balances accessibility with the opportunity to truly disconnect and reconnect with yourself. Rest assured, we'll provide you with all the specific travel details upon confirmation of your enrolment.
Q: Will transport be included in the cost?
No, transport is not included in the cost and will need to be arranged by you. However, if enough participants are coming from the airport we'll help coordinate shared lifts or a shuttle option (at your own cost). This approach not only makes travel more affordable but also creates an opportunity for connection before the retreat even begins. So once you've signed up let us know if you are open to shared transport and let's see what we can arrange.
Q: Can I get a massage while there?
Absolutely! Bodhi Khaya offers a variety of different styles of massage treatments to suit your needs. You will have sufficient time between facilitation sessions to relax and enjoy a spa treatment (at your own cost).
Q: Will I be able to access wifi?
Yes, WiFi is available at Bodhi Khaya, but it is primarily located in the common areas. While we encourage guests to disconnect and immerse themselves in nature, the limited, communal WiFi allows for connectivity if needed. Note that cell phone reception can also be limited.
Q: How many people will be on the retreat?
We've intentionally designed an intimate, supportive container that allows for deep personal transformation while providing a sense of community. Numbers will be limited to 12.
Q: Can I drink, smoke, or use other substances during the retreat?
We invite you to approach this retreat as a sacred space of healing and transformation. While we understand these are personal choices, we strongly recommend staying "clean" during the retreat to support your deepest healing. We ask that you refrain from bringing any alcohol or substances with you and, if you must smoke, please do so outside and away from others. This isn't about restriction — it's about creating the purest, most supportive environment for your personal healing journey.
